This is when their local cows' milk is at its best – and it’s only during these months that they make their limited edition, seasonal Rogue River Blue. After 9 to 11 months of careful tending in their aging caves, their team hand-wraps each wheel in organic, biodynamic Syrah grape leaves that have soaked in pear spirits. On the Autumnal Equinox each year, Rogue Creamery celebrates the release of the year’s new vintage of Rogue River Blue Cheese. Rogue River Blue is recognized internationally for its groundbreaking flavors and exceptional quality. It was named World Champion at the World Cheese Awards in 2019 - the only USA-made cheese to ever receive this esteemed title. More recently, it won the top honors of "Gran Cincho de Oro" at Spain's Cincho Cheese Awards (2026), and Gold at France's Mondial du Fromage (2025).
